Creative Tourism, The Mainstay Of Indonesia’s Tourism Marketing Weapons

Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board (ITPB) is a partner the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy which was formed by Presidential Decree No. 22, 2011 about Indonesian Tourism Promotion Board, tasked to promote Indonesian tourism.

Duties and functions ITPB, among other : improve the image of Indonesia tourism, increase foreigners tourist arrivals and foreign exchange revenues, increase domestic tourist visits and expenditure, as well as doing research for business development and tourism business.

Meanwhile, ITPB function is the coordinator of tourism promotion conducted in the corporate world as well as a national and local partners the Central Government and Local Government.

In the short term, ITPB possess three main programs namely, low seasons tourism, creative tourism, and green tourism.

Low Seasons tourism is a program that encourages the arrival of tourists when not in the holiday period, creative tourism is tourism that offers visitors a creative experience, while green tourism is tourism that takes into account the needs of the environment, local residents, businesses, and visitors to the needs of present and future.
