ThePresidentPost.com – Indonesia has improved its ease-of-doing-business ranking this year, and is expected to improve again in next year’s World Bank ease-of-doing-business report.
According to Bank Indonesia (BI) senior deputy governor Mirza Adityaswara, this year’s report indicated an improvement in national business and investment processes.
“Despite the survey being released prior to [Indonesia’s] economic deregulation policy packages, our ranking has improved. Hopefully we will be able to move up again in next year’s survey,” said Mirza at Surabaya, East Java, on Thursday (10/29/2015).
The country’s ranking in the report stands at 109, up 11 places from 2014. The ranking is out of 189 countries surveyed in the World Bank Group’s Ease of Doing Business (EODB) 2016 survey.(awp)
