The construction of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) turnpike section I called Ciawi-Cigombong had reached 40.65%. The first section has been targeted for completion by the end of 2017.
“Per 5 March 2017, the construction of Bocimi toll road especially the section I of Ciawi-Cigombong is done 40.65 percent,” said Secretary of West Java Province Iwa Karniwa at the Gedung Juang 45, Sukabumi, on Monday (3/20).
Such an achievement, according to Iwa, thanked to the supports of the regent and the mayor of Bogor as well as village heads. During this time the Ciawi-Cigombong corridor is always hit by a severe congestion hampering the traffic between Sukabumi and Bogor.
Iwa said the land acquisition for the section I of Ciawi-Cigombong nearly 100% complete. The land acquisition in Bogor City reaches 718 parcels with the size of 44 hectares. Out of the number, 697 plots of the land with the size of 43.25 hectares or 97.68% has been acquired.
The rest of 2.32% is a waqf (endowing) land being taken care of. In Bogor Regency there are 1,233 parcels of land covering an area of 117.8 hectares to be acquired. As many as 1,207 parcels of land sized116.86 hectares or 99.16 percent have been cleared.
“So the total plots of land acquired for the Bocimi toll road has reached 98.75 percent covering an area of 160.1 hectares,” said Iwa.
“The section 1 of Ciawi-Cigombong is targeted to be drivable by the end of December 2017,” he added.
After that, he said the construction will continue to the next section that goes to Sukabumi. Iwa further said the land acquisition process in Sukabumi was still at the stage of communication with the community. The efforts to acquire the land should be supported by the Sukabumi regent, secretary and other public figures in the local society, he added.
