DEN HAAG, presidentpost.com – Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja and General Manager of Garuda Indonesia for Europe, UK, Russia and Africa Moh. Rizal Pahlevi signed a Cooperation Agreement at the embassy office in Den Haag (The Hague) on Wednesday (9/13).
The agreement, according to Rizal, actually has been running for several years and in 2016 contributed significantly to the number of passengers and cargoes transported by Garuda. He expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ambassador in Den Haag and all his staff for their support and he hoped that the cooperation would be further enhanced in the future.
Meanwhile Indonesian Ambassador Wesaka Puja offered his appreciation to Garuda on the signing of the cooperation agreement. It is expected to be able to improve the performance of Garuda especially for the Amsterdam-Jakarta route. The Indonesian Embassy, he said, always gives full support to Garuda Indonesia as a five-star airline.
“We are targeting tourist arrivals from the Netherlands until the end of 2019 to reach 300,000 people. This cooperation is expected to support it,” Puja said. The cooperation agreement will also be disseminated to the Indonesian Embassies in the European countries so that they can make use the Garuda’s service.
In the agreement, Garuda provides certain discounts for the Indonesian and local staff of the Embassy and their family as well as the guests of the Embassy to travel from Amsterdam to destinations in Asia and vice versa, also the ease in changing the reservation. In return, the Embassy will meet the sales target in a year that has been agreed upon. The agreement is valid for 2 years.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Indonesian Deputy Ambassador Ibnu Wahyutomo, Korfung Ekonomi Andrea Marentek, Transportation Attaché of Den Haag Embassy I Made Suartika, and Garuda’s Sales & Marketing Manager Rick Wouters and Account Manager Kenneth Moes. (KEMLU/TPP)
