PANDEGLANG, presidentpost.com – The construction of the 83.6-kilometer Serang-Panimbang toll road, included in the National Strategic Projects (PSN) to access the KEK Tanjung Lesung in Banten, will begin in January 2018 without a groundbreaking ceremony.
Head of the Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) of Banten Province, Hudaya Latucosina, said that previously the groundbreaking ceremony was planned to be held in October 2017 by President Joko Widodo, but failed due to various things.
According to Hudaya, the construction of Serang-Panimbang toll road will be started in January 2018 without any groundbreaking ceremony. “The president will be too busy in that month, so PT Wika as the constructor has decided to drop the ceremony.”
To building the toll road, 785 hectares of land areas are needed, spreading in 50 villages, 14 districts and four regencies/cities.
The appraisal team were negotiating the land price with the people in three districts of Bojong, Picung and Sindangresmi in Pandeglang regency in the third week of December.
Ibrahim Hasan from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) responsible for the construction of Serang-Panimbang toll road said in Pandeglang, “We have a meeting with the residents in three districts of Bojong, Picung and Sindangresmi. The meeting is held on Wednesday in Sindangresmi, on Friday in Bojong and on Thursday in Picung. So, in these three days,” he said on Tuesday (19/12).
He added the land acquisition process in the three districts will be completed this month. The land area in Pandeglang for the toll road reaches 2,500 hectares, stretching from Bojong to Panimbang.
“The width of the toll road will be 20 meters, divided into two opposite lanes with 10 meters wide each. The appraisal team has the standard price, but the final price will come out after the negotiation,” Ibrahim said.
The price, according to him, might be different from one plot to another depending on the location. “Once the land plots have been paid, most likely in early January 2018, the construction can begin, especially in Bojong and Picung.”
Meanwhile, Head of Pandeglang Land Agency, Rusli Yakob said that the land acquisition for the construction of Serang-Panimbang toll road is finalizing. “They have already agreed to sell their land plots. Once the price agreed, we will get the land certificates,” he said.
If the certificate is valid and there is no dispute over it, then the PUPR Ministry will pay the land. The payment will be not in cash, but transfer to their bank accounts.
“I and the members of the appraisal team have to work together closely to avoid any mistake in the payment of the land,” Rusli said. (TPP)
